I currently have 3 online payday loans out. I have included all info I have available and have requested statements of my account on each. After reading through a few threads regarding payday loans I understand that the payday loan company has to be licensed in your state (mine is FLORIDA) to legally process this type of loan. My question is: How do I find out if they are licensed? I do believe I found out that PDL are legal in FL, but I have been unable to find out if these three companies are licensed or not. Maybe I am just not searching the right thing? Can anyone help and advise as to what I should do if in fact they are not licensed? Once I get rid of these I will NEVER do a PDL again! This has caused way to much stress and I need to get rid of them ASAP as I am pregnant and need to be able to put some of this money that is being wasted on fees to the side to save for maternity leave...
US Fast Cash - Original Loan 2/2/12 $300
Paid:
2/17 - $90.00
3/2 - $90.00
3/16 - $90.00
3/30 - $90.00
4/27 - $100.00
5/21 - $100.00
Total Paid $560.00
Say I still owe : 6/1 $100 (did not pay) 6/15 $100 and final 6/29 $95
500 Fast Cash - Original Loan 4/23 $300
Paid:
5/30 - $75
I still owe them up to the $300 I understand that and there is a payment of $105 for 6/8 set up. But I am certain there were at least 2 more payments if not 3 they had me set up for $105. I have emailed them asking for a complete statement of my account to be sure though.
Mesa Financial - Original loan 5/18 $300.00
First payment drafted last Friday and didn't go through of $90.00. So I know they are going to charge me a fee and will probably try to reprocess any day.
Again, I understand I do owe them up to the $300.00
Thank you for any help or advice anyone can offer!!!

which pdls do you have setup with the [prepaid debit card?the reason is because all three are illegal in FL,and usfastcash owes you big.don't pay them until they agree that you only owe the principle and nothing more.do not load that card, and yes close your account.

US Fast Cash and 500 Fast Cash are set up on prepaid cards. Mesa is still on my bank account. I know Vystar won't let me close the account though until the account is brought to a zero balance as Mesa has tried to process already when no finds were available as this is not my main checking account, Vystar rarely has money in it. I have a main checking account where my husband and I have direct deposit at Bank of America...

How did you both find out these were illegal? And are they illegal in FL because they are not licensed or what? I just want to make sure I have all my info right.

Thank you.

I haven't received anymore calls from USFAST CASH or 500 FAST CASH since I submitted my letters to them. However, Friday afternoon I got a message from some lady with a thick middle eastern accent, of course, she had a completely America sounding name, number was 201-254-3633 she did not mention her companies name. She said that there has been a legal issue connected to my SS# and that I needed to call her "before this legal matter unfolds"... I am not calling her. She left another message today, said the same exact thing, sounds like a script she is reading. I think it is bogus. Has anyone else had this happen??

Also, how can I find out about Mesa Financial? I have been trying to search for their license # to see if they are licensed in FL. Here is their info:
Mesa Financial
Phone: 1-866-430-6372
Fax: 1-866-431-6372

Thank you!! :D

the lady is in INDIA,and part of a scam that illegals sell debt to.report them to the FTC.use any numbers you have and go to www.ftc.gov.then ignore them knowing they can't do squat.

Yes, I have requested a check for the over payment be sent to the address they have on file... I don't know if i'll ever receive it or not though.. I haven't gotten any type of response from them. No calls, emails, or postal mail. Only the calls from India regarding a legal matter connected with my SS#, which I assume is a bunch of bull so I keep ignoring them. And I did report them like the other person suggested.

I have been trying to find out whether the Mesa Financial is licensed in FL though and have no luck finding this info. If someone could point me in the right direction. I have tried the site that you type in the company's name but nothing comes up, does that mean they are not licensed?
