credit report

Ive contacted medicredit by phone # 314-837-2200. they have no imformation in there system on me, but they are on my credit report for an unpaid helicopter ride after my motorcycle accident in 2007. I really need to get this settled and off my credit report. I'm not sure what to do or who to contact to take care of this.

What state do you live in? If it were me, and depending on what state you live in, I would record the phone call without telling them--in most states this is legal, once we know what state you are in we can tell you if it is or not. I would record the call--get it on tape that they are saying that they have no such account for you in their records. Then, file a dispute with the credit bureau. Once you can prove that they have no such account for you, you will have them over a barrel if they verify it as accurate.
