I have been a customer at Express Consumer Loans for about 4 yrs . When I first became a customer they did the paper check thing and then issued a money order which I had to cash there . They changed over to the Insight card about 3 yrs ago . I never got a contract in the entire time I have been a customer . I tried calling them Fri to make payment arrangements because it was due the 4th and I knew the money wouldnt be there for them to take . I was told to wait till the day it was due to call so I called the day it was due ,was told it was current and I couldnt make any kind of payment arrangements until the 22nd . They said it would be in default till the 22nd ,even though it is due on the 4th . Well on the 5th they sent it through the bank and of course it bounsed .I called back on the 5th ,explained how I have been trying time and time again to make payment arrangements and now it has now bounsed . The woman got snotty with me and told me the terms was outlined in my contract ....I am like" what contract ,I never got one ." She told me to go to the store and they can give me a copy ...I go to the store and they tell me they dont have a copy ,just my electronic signature on file that the Insight office would have a copy .After going back and forth from person to person ,no one is able to give me a copy of my contract . My thought is if they have no contact then how can I be held liable for the loan . My question is this ,if after so many days no one can give me a copy of the contract is there anything I can do ? BTW I did call the Ohio attorney generals office and filed a complaint about now being able to get a copy of my contract .Can I consider this debt null and void if no contract can be produced ?

Every loan needs to be bound and supported by a contract. Whatever you put your electronic signature on, it can be counted as the contract as well. They might be stalling you because they have misplaced their paperwork. Seems to me that such is the situation.
