I am trying to follow all of the steps listed in the sticky for dealing with illegal payday lenders. I have tried requesting the bank to either a. close my account or b. put it to a deposit-only status but they have refused (can't close the account because it is overdrawn and deposit-only status is "not an option").

How do I go about getting these transactions from hitting my account outside of placing a stop payment at a cost of $31 per transaction?

I have paid to these companies in excess of principal for a combined total of $1,820.

Thank you.

Yes, I did the ACH revocation for each lender. I full expect that the revocation will not be followed as when I tried to verbally request a revocation (before I found this site) I was told that was not an option.

I tried calling the branch today instead of going through the 800 number. I asked to speak straight to a manager. Was told no manager is on duty. In short I told the banker that I felt the ACH revocation would not be honored and that I would like to place my account to either a deposit-only status or have a hard block placed on all debits. She said the bank does not have that option. She pushed for me to do a stop payment. I said no. I am not paying to have an illegal transaction blocked. The only option I have is to let the transactions hit the account, then go to the bank and fill out the fraud paperwork. At that point they will process the reversal and refund of any overdraft fees. Is there anything more pro-active that I can do to keep the money from being taken in the first place?
