Had anyone ever had to deal with NCO before? Do they serve. I just got the message that says I have charges and a claim against, me and I have been notified or whatever. ITs for a pay day loan.

Thanks

I also have another question, I have another debt I am paying back but it wasnt with a Pay day loan company neither was the one we were talking about above. Its the lender that is legal in MD. I forgot the name for them. ANyway the other place I think Capital solutions said they were trying to charge me for breach of contract and a bad check, because I closed the account. They said they were going to serve me. I had to pay $56 so they can pull the server file or something like that then, set up payments but its alot and I dont know if I can afford it. How can they charge me for bad checks when its a debt? Is this all scare tactics or is this legit. Again I live in MD. The loan was from 2009 for like $900 I think. I want to pay it back but rent, car etc, is more important.

I believe you might be talking about Capital Collections who is stating bad check, etc. If this is the case, Capital Collections is an illegal company as they do not have a license in Maryland. I know because I have dealt with them. The Maryland Commission of Financial Regulation is investigating them as they have threatened me and sent me some emails that were definitely breaking the law. If you know that it is definitely Capital Collections, contact the MD Commission of Financial Regulation. Phone number is 410-230-6100. Do not pay them a dime.;)

Well thats not the name of the loan I think thats the name of the collector. The loan was from DSI lenders or something, and the guy I was talking to was a Mr Stevens or something like that. Like 3 weeks ago they called my work saying that address they had was incorrect and to call to get a proper address. So I got worried called back and set up payments, like I said they made me pay $56 to pull the serve or something. Then threatened me that I had charges against prince Georges county the county I live in for the bad check and breach of contract. I just called the number from a email I sent and it is 100% Capital Solutions! So they are just a regular debt company and take any action, because these payments I really cant afford right at this moment.

You need to close your bank account STAT. If a collection company is not registered in the state of MD, they CANNOT TAKE COLLECTION ACTIONS against a resident of the state. Do not let them scare you into paying (which it appears one of them already did). Did you write a check the loan company? No. You authorized an ACH withdrawal. Read the link pinned on top regarding dealing with illegal lenders.

And follow horneck's advice regarding filing a complaint with the MD Office of Financial Regulation. I have filed complaints and been contacted by the office. They are working against these companies and trying to help us!

Well I dont know, no I have payed one already I am paying is North East Credit Solutions in Buffalo NY. They told me that they are a law firm but now I Dont know. Have you heard of them. They sent me and email to confirm my payments at the bottom of the letter it says This communication is from a debt collector. That means they can take no legal action right? Also the other company is Capital Solutions, I have been googling them and cant find anything on them! Capital Solutions phone # is 888 395 8274. They are the ones that claim they are a law firm also. I am beginning to think they are just a normal debt company also. Are they using these claims, charges against me as a scare tactic to get $?

Now, you need to determine how much you borrowed and how much you have paid. You are responsible for paying the principal balance only. If you borrowed $300.00 and paid back $390.00, you are due a refund in the amount of $90.00. You need to follow the guidelines on how to deal with illegal lenders. I believe it may be under the link of Soaplady. An absolute first is that you close your current bank account so that no more money can be debited from it. Wish you luck!:p
