I unfortunately got involved with bill me later a year ago. I paid my bills for roughly six months, and then I charged my account with two $150 payments. Surprisingly enough, I lost my job a week later and had used my last paycheck for food. I had and still have no money saved. I am jobless. It is currently about a year later and bill me later charged so much interest, that I'm getting calls to pay roughly $800-$900. I can't completely understand the person on the phone.

What can I do to resolve this? I've already acknowledged I owe the $300, but what's up with this additional interest money? If I'm sued, how can they expect me to pay? Can I do volunteer service to get this debt off my back, if they do actually sue me? I'm not worried about how long it will take or even doing the volunteer service, I actually just want them out of my life. I've learned a valuable life lesson and want it resolved. I can call them too, but I don't know what that's going to do. I've told them I can't pay like 3 times already, and I'm pretty sure they won't want to hear it again. I'm trying some freelance work to see if it will help too, but nothing yet on that either.
