I live in NC and took out 2 payday loans last year in March.I am receiving calls that they are gonna have me served with criminal charges for these loans.I dont know what to do will somebody please give me some info on this.I am also suppose to be talking to an attorney "when they call me".They have even went as far as to tell me the name of the sheriff and the courthouse's address in the county where I live. They have called my husband at work and harrassed him also. They said I will be served with these papers if I dont pay these loans back..

I am by no means an expert, but while you wait for a response from someone who is, let me reassure you that you WILL NOT be arrested. Depending on the laws of your state, it is possible to be sued, but in America, not paying a bill is a CIVIL nto CRIMINAL matter. Don't let these jerks scare you! (Been there, done that!)

sincs PDL'S are prohibited in nc the idiots are bottomfeeding lawbreakers.not only that, but nc is non-garnishment.bet they threatened that as well.first use any numbers you have and file a police report as again lawbreaking scammers.then ignore future calls knowing they are nothing but scamming slime who can't/don't do a thing they say.ignoring,or hanging up without a word is what you do after you file the police report.
