Asset Acceptance LLC lawsuit

My wife has a credit card that was charged off and bought by Asset Acceptance. We have never responded to their phone call or letters. A few days ago, my wife started receiving letters from attorneys in our area about assistance. I did a little research at our county court and found that on 06/26 they filed lawsuit for "Breach of Contract", however my wife has yet to be served summons. The SOL for this debt runs out on January 1, 2013.
