Debt Consolidation Loan Help for Military
Date: Wed, 07/04/2012 - 10:41
Ok so here is the deal. My wife and I have between 30 and 40 thousand dollars in unsecured debt. I am in the military and make good money so I am able to pay all of my debt on time and have been for the last 8 years only missing one 6 dollar payment on accident. The problem is I only have enough to pay my bills the debt and groceries. I need to open up some money to pay off extra. I think that consolidation loan is the best option. I dont want to stop paying on the cards because it will ruin my credit score (680-715) and I could lose my security clearance in the Army and that will effect my career. I could use some suggestions from everyone. Thanks for your help.

Check with your ombudsmen. You may be able to get a loan via military aid. Even if it only covers part of the amount you owe, you will likely have a lower payment than the combination of other accounts.
