Harassing debt collector

My wife recieved a call today from a debt collector who got abusive when she tried to explain herself. He told her things like they had access to our bank account and they could take whatever they wanted whenever. When my wife asked if she could get some kind of payment plan they said sure you have 48 hours to pay x amount or else. Leaving that last part to linger. When she asked how they expected her to come up with that kind of money in 2 days they told her "Maybe you need to sell that ass on the corner." REALLY?! I know theese guys can be pushy but c'mon is that what we have to endure just because we found ourselves in a tough spot? I dont know what to do here can anyone suggest anything?

how about using the name of the agency,his alias,or the phone number you have and file a police as the moron broke the law in talking to you like that.i'm also sure you got nothing in writing from this cretin.report and do not talk to him again until he send something.
