zwicker and assoc called my cell phone and begane asking questions regarding my husband. They asked for ss# and date of birth and then said she must have the wrong person. I begane receiving calls from the same number only to find out that they are trying to collect on one of debts. I had the debt before I married my husband, can they collect from him since I was tricked into providing or varifying his information? I realized after the call that I should never have given the information over the phone but, I was ill that day and wasn't thinking. They are threatning to put a judgement against me. can they put a judgement on our bank account if my husbands name is on it also? :confused:

Zwicker is a bottomfeeder. What is this debt from? Payday loan? Credit card? Just ask your husband to put a fraud alert on his credit report simply because his information is now out there. As for dealing with Zwicker, ask them to validate the debt in writing. You think of paying if and only if they validate the debt. And no, they can't come after your husband for a debt you incurred before marriage.

They do not place a judgement against your bank account, they put a judgment against you. Once they get a judgment, they can then lein your bank account. And yes, they can lein your account even if your husbands name is on it....all it matters is that YOUR name is on it.
