hi -
i have been in a DMP for 2 years with another 2 years remaining. I am choking on my payment and trying not to default. what are my options? do i renegotiate with the DM company or can I call the credit card companies myself and negotiate with them. I wasnt sure if the credit card companies would talk with me since I have already been in DMP. i APPRECIATE any advise.

This is going to be a little messy. If you want to deal with the card companies by yourself, you will need to inform your DMP and get the account(s) delisted and only THEN attempt to negotiate with the company.
The credit card company will talk to anybody who would have their money ready to be repaid or can be sued if they don't. So yes, it is more than likely they would talk to you but only attempt to do so AFTER you have delisted the account.
