I have several online payday loans that I no longer can't keep up without getting behind on my bills and I wanted to know what is the worst that can happen to me if I close my bank account and open a new one with the same bank? I live in Texas and have heard different scenarios on what happens if you don't pay whether they are licensed in you state and so forth. I live in Texas and got the online loans below. I just don't want to go to jail like I've heard. I just can't afford them anymore. Please help any information would be helpful.

Advance America ( cashnetusa) loan $1350.00 have paid $901.24

Speedycash loan $500.00 have paid $386.07

Consumer credit services ( money2advance.com) loan for $500.00 paid $ 250.00

Paydayone loan for $1050.00 have already paid $568.60

Check n go loan for $ 1000.00 have paid $ 919.96

I have done extensions on there to pay the interest to roll over. All the amounts I have paid include some to principal and some to their fees. Thanks!

Good news! :D You won't be thrown in jail for failing to repay debts. Its a civil offense, not criminal. Your creditors though can haul you to court and have a judgment slapped on you. After that, your lenders can garnish your wages, levy your bank account and put a lien on your assets.

Now for the bad news. Except for Money2Advance, all your lenders are registered and licensed to do business in Texas. So basically you pay them on time and whatever you owe, including interest or they turn you over to collections or sue you.

Some minor good news. Most of your legal lenders are CSOs\CABs so you can give them a call and ask them for an extended period repayment plan.

Oh, and check with the state department of finance and find out if Money2Advance is legal in Texas.
