Plain Green & Payment Plan
Date: Thu, 07/26/2012 - 13:12
Mambo loans only sent me a reminder of the agreement signed, and a 2nd email with the agreement attached. I resent my original letter at that point.
I have yet to hear from National Payday Loans, Kenwood LLC, or Holiday Group LLC.
Any experience with these lenders? Not sure what to expect.
Thanks!

The last two are very funky sounding and probably will send you some creepy email agreeing to the payment plan. As for National Payday Loan, not sure. They might try to send you back an agreement. In my experience, if you write back "I have retained counsel and have been advised..." they will shut up and agree to the payment plan you offer. What they are doing is basically a last ditch effort to try to convince you that what you learned about their lending practices is not true and that they are legal loans.

Don't lie about having an attorney....simply stick to your guns and your new knowledge. If you still owe them principal, pay it back on your time schedule, not theirs. You are in control.

Great advice. Next payments are due 7/31, and ACH is revoked on all. I may not hear from some until then. Should I resend the letter?.., or wait until I hear from them? Mambo is the one that concerns me the most. I overpaid them by $375, and followed your letter to the tee asking for a refund.
Thanks for the support.

You can do what you feel is the best course of action. If it were me, I would not send them multiple emails. Remember that technically, you owe them nothing. If they don't want to accept your offer to pay the principal then that's too bad for them.
