Private student loan

I have 40g in PSL debt, Ive Been Making payments since 05 and I still owe 40g Last year due to a forclosure scare i stopped paying in order to maintain my home now im getting collection call from reese,weinburg a law firm /collection. they gave me a choice of pay 35g or 4500 and get on a payment plan which neither i can do, help dont want to get garnished. I live in michigan

Unfortunately this is what happens when you default on a private student loan. They are wicked in their collections....and they do routinely sue.
