My Cash Now

Credit Protection Depot contacted me a couple weeks later. I asked for a letter of credit. They E-mailed me some stupid crap but I was then able to ask for a Debt Validation. Requested a DV numerous times by E-mail, fax, certified mail and of course no DV letter to be had. The last couple of weeks I have been bombarding them with calls and E-mails letting them know that since they could not supply me with a DV letter their loans were illegal. I also let them know that MCN is not offshore like they claim. There was a recent FTC lawsuit filed against MCN listing their address as NV.
Last Friday I received an E-mail from CPD stating my account has been marked as PIF and my balance was 0.00 due to a recent payment that was made. I made no recent payment so I called CPD tonight asking to talk to a supervisor. She hung up on me. I called back and my call was blocked. I then contacted MCN and got a hold of a supervisor. I asked him to forward payment information on the payment I made and of course they could not do that since I did not make any payment. I stated to them that I was glad that my account had been marked as PIF but that I still was waiting on my refund of over $3,000.00. After going back and forth he finally admitted to me that yes the loans were illegal in PA and they could not lend in my state. I asked them when that went into affect and he said he did not know but he said that it was earlier this year so I asked him to transfer me to their legal office. He transferred me to some other department and I spoke to some lady there. I told her that I had just been told by a supervisor that the loans I had were illegal and explained to her that I wanted a refund. She said that there was no one in the company that could do that for me.
So here are my 2 questions. Who do I contact there to get my frikin refund and if I give the FTC this information will they be able to do anything to them and if I contact my state agencies do you think they could help.
Thanks

You can contact FTC or State Attorney General. You can even contact CFPB. Alternatively, send a letter to MCN stating that you'll take legal steps if they don't give you a refund.

The problem is: just as they have no authority over you, you (or your state or federal agencies) have no authority over them. Don't hold your breath for the refund. Just be glad to get rid of them :)
