Just received a message from an Officer Johnson at 518-621-5835 stating that I needed to return her call by the end of the day or she would issue a felony warrant in my county of Texas for non payment of something. At the same time my wife received a call from the same person telling her to advise me about the consequences if I did not return the call. I called about 30 minutes later and she answered as "officer Johnson" I questioned her what this was about and if she was a peace officer and public servant, after a couple of seconds she advised me that she was not but worked for the company issuing court summance. I told her that her message and conversation with my wife clearly stated her describing herself as a peace officer which is a 3rd degree felony in my state. She put me on hold and got some gentleman who advised me about the call and told me about a payday loan that was 5 years old and how warrants will be issued if I don't discuss payment. He told me he was from national check registry and gave me references, email and ss# info. After telling him that I did not recall the item, he gave me one last lecture and hung up as i was talking and advising him to forward me info. Half an hour later he left a message on home voice mail addressed to my reference list on the paper work advising about legal action to them if WE did not return a call by the end of the day to discuss repayment. Can you give me any advice on this?

file police reports, both you and your wife.this is a scam that broke the law hand over fist.nothing will happen to you so report and ignore.

The problem is that I believe these loans do pertain to me. I just don't want to be arrested, especially at my place of business.

debts especially pdl's are civil matters, not criminal ones.these two broke the law in stating that.they have to use scare tactics to get money.in fact depending on the state you are in.these are past SOL,and/or illegal anyway.REPORT AND IGNORE!!!!!!!!!!!
