MD PDL Calls

Just when I thought this was over and done with, I received a v/m from process server to serve me papers at place of employment. Called process server and was told too late to meet him today but to call the filing office. Called filing office and inquired where they were located which was New York. I am in MD. Asked why if he in NY and me in MD why was he sending court papers. Response was that they outsource and he has several MD pepole to deliver to. Asked what it was concerning and Steve responded that it was for a payday loan with Quickest Cash Advance dba National Payday Lending. I told him that pdls illegal in Maryland and he stated that I took the money and was a crook as I never paid it back. Funny thing, I have more than paid back the loans and I am due a refund in the amount of $1,375.50 which i will probably never receive. I called the process server back and he said that Steve called him and said that he was refiling the paperwork and now I am being charged with internet fraud and bad check. I know this won't happen. I have been in contact with the Maryland Commission of Financial Regulation all along and just advised them of this call. Sorry this is so long winded, just wanted to vent as it appears that these scumbags will never go away. Thanks all and have a great:sun: day!
