Hello
I had a post a few months back but cannot locate that post. U had told me to try and get all my credit card debt on hardship programs to get minimum payment and interest down so i would be able to save up money for settlements. I have been able to do that for the most part. Just wanted to see if you would be able to give me some advise of how to approach the settlements, when and in what order?

I will be able to save about $300-$400 per month towards settlements.

Here are the credit card names, balances and hardship terms i got.

Citi Card, balance $2200. 0%int for 60months $40 min payments.

Chase, Balance $16,300. 0% int for 60 months $270 min payments.

American Express $6500. 0% int for 6 months and 9.99% int next 6 months 1 year hardship, min payments around $80

Capitol One $20,000. still 18% int, No late fees for 3 months and pay what i can. my min payments are $500 but only paying about $250 month, so at the end of 3 months i will have a min payment of way over $1000 at which i will have to call them back.

Discover $5200. 13% int They say they have no offers and can not help me now. But i do recall seeing an offer the last time i was late paying on my account, but it was only for 1 year hardship at 9.99%. paying min payments of $120.

So with what i have done so far i was wondering what kind of plan i should follow to settle the debts
Thanks for any infomation that will help me out.

Stop paying discover and wait for them to give you an offer.

I recommend you call capital one's executive response team and ask them about a real hardship plan. The no late fees thing is crap and isn't going to help you put a dent in a 20,000 dollar balance. Ask them for a no interest and elimination of annuals/penalty fees. I pm'd you the executive phone number.
