I closed my bank account and sent letters of revocation in May. Things have been pretty quite until this week, ameriloan and Advantage cash Services have started calling at work and sending emails. I have overpaid the principal on one of them in the amount in 40.00 and by 500.00 on the other. I have requested that they both quit calling me at work and yet they continue to do so. I am not sure how to handle this next. I reside in the state of Washington, there is a cease and desist letter on the DFI website naming both of these companies and I have emailed copies of this to both of these companies. But, insist on continuing to call. I need some advice on what I can do. My boss knows about the situation but it is getting a little out of hand. Any suggestions. They have also started to threaten garnishment of my wages. Thanks for all the help.

If there is a Cease and Desist order against these companies on your state's gvt website, this means that they are not allowed to do business in your state, period. Besides reporting them to the FTC, contact your state's Attorney General office and report them. Let these companies know you mean business!
Frankly, knowing Ameriloan as I do, I am suprised it took them this long to start doing this, as you closed your accounts in May.
