please can someone tell me if they can put you in jail for not paying a payday loan at the Ace cash express in florida?
they are calling me everyday telling me that they will put me in jail for owing them money and they tell me that they will charge me for bad check even tough i had a bank account at the time i took the loan

Since you've already defaulted, you need to work out a payment arrangement with their collections department. If the storefront people continue to harass you, call the corporate offices, as someone said above. They usually have a little more flexibility in what they can do for you.
