Hi, I live in Indiana and I received a call today from a Nichole at TRS or TRX, stating that she was collecting on a loan that I defaulted on for VIP Loan Shop. She sayd that I have 48 hours to pay $685 for a $400 loan, or they will proceed with garnishing my wages. I did have an original loan with VIP for $400, which I paid in $240. I sent them my letters about their illegality and repeatedly asked for a physical address for which to mail them the principal remaining $160. They have refused to give me an address to pay this off. What should I do? Should I be worried? I told this TRS or TRX that I was not paying the amount they are asking and to stop calling. MY HR department has my wage revocation emails.

Ask them for an address and send them a cease and desist. At this point, VIP gets nothing more, in my opinion. If they won't give you an address, just ignore.
