Online payday laons

You tell them that you are an informed consumer and you know this is a scam. Then don't answer the phone anymore when they call.

Do NOT pay them anything.

Do NOT confirm or deny any personal information.

Payday loans are ILLEGAL in NC. This is a total scam. You cannot be arrested or put in jail. Debts are civil not criminal. Send the CA a cease and desist via certified mail, return receipt requested.

Quit being scared and stop listening to what these scam artists are telling you. The loans are prohibited in your state....the contracts you signed are dirty, thus null and void. Stop answering the phone....even if they attempted to sue you, all you would have to do is show that the loan is tainted. A copy of the statutues would shut them up. They are just trying to scare you.

Thankyou all so much for the advice. Is there anything I can do about them calling my family? It stressed my dad out so much when the called him. They threatened to subpoena him if I did not pay the loan back which he had nothing to do with.

You are just going to have to tell your family that these are illegal callers and not to pay any attention to them. If the calls, persist report them to the Federal Trade Commission. When they receive the calls, simply hangup.

Tell your family/friends a scam is targeting you. End of story. Do not pay these people anything!! If you paid with a credit/debit card FILE A CHARGEBACK. Bank account, file a dispute.

I also forgot to say that with the online payday loans I also got a storefront one in SC I still lived in NC, but SC is not too far away from where I live. I believe payday loans are legal down there so what kind of trouble will I get in for that. I know for sure I paid that one off like two times because of the interest I paid every two weeks from them.

Did you put a NC address on your application??? If so, then it is THEIR FAULT for giving you a loan when your state prohibits it. They should know the laws.

Sorry to keep writing about my issues on here but this situation really has me stressed out. Now one of the places called my dad again and told him they are serving me and going to serve him to. Here doesnt even live anywhere close to me, he lives in south dakota and told him that me and him would have to go to court in texas...

You're only stressed because you either believe them or are letting them get to you. Tell your dad these are scam artists. If they call, stop talking to them. Either don't answer the phone or hang up.

Period.

You're causing your own stress here.

These people can't do anything to you.
