Direct Deposit in Bad Account

Problem: I have a DD from a side job; I changed my DD and was notified that it would take up to two weeks to process my DD. It was on the 7th of Sept. I looked at my BOA account today and my side job processed a DD today.
I notified the company about the DD, but is there anything they can do? BOA refuses to reverse the deposit (my account is very overdrawn thinks to our little friends). I worked damn hard for the grand and had my entire budget built around it.

When banks do not agree to let you close your OWN account, what you do is give them a very hard time and immediately talk to the manager, not some customer rep pipsqueak who get a bonus with their paychecks if your account stays open for another month. How long has it been since the DD got deposited?

It was deposited yesterday and I let the depositor know immediately after. Unfortunately, I have read where the bank can refuse to reverse the deposit...I do not know if that is true or not.

Yep - the payment back to me - not the pdl charges.

No, that can't happen. YOur account was negative i.e. overdrawn.
No, that can't happen. YOur account was negative i.e. overdrawn. Any deposits into there right now is the bank's money for all intents and purposes. THey will not give you that check - your only option is to get the employer to reverse it. If it were my paycheck that went into a bad account I would be able to speak to HR and come up with some reason that it needss to be reversed... try to think of something.. the bank account was hacked, the bank is investigating etc..
That is what I did and they are reversing it, but I do not know
That is what I did and they are reversing it, but I do not know if the bank is required to return it to them. I don't mind waiting two weeks (since I feel like I am rolling in it with a 100% mine paycheck now), but I hate to do all that side work on a second job and not see the money.
