Has anyone had loan companies say that they do not work with debt consolidation companies and T&C has indeed worked with them?

I'm just wondering if my loan companies are trying to get me not to consolidate or if T&C just want my money.


What kind of loans specifically? Payday loans? Online or store-front loans if so? Consolidating loans like these is also generally a waste of time and money. My mom-in-law got ripped off alot of money last year thinking she was consolidating her debts when in fact that company didn't do anything for her and stole her money.
