I re'cd a phone call from Glass Mountain Capital wanting to get my ss# before they answer any questions when asked who they were.The lady was extremely rude and hung up in my face before she stated"I WILL HANDLE THIS IN MY OWN WAY".I just lost my husband and was somewhat distraught by this company that I have no knowledge of.What do I do next???I refuse to give out my personal info due to several encounters with fraud.


Its a very smart thing you did not giving away personal information like that over the phone. Now, on to the problem, GMC looks somewhat legit so I cannot put them in the same category as ACS or NCA which are nothing more than scams run out of India.

From what I could gather is that GMC usually engages in collecting on credit card debts. Do you or your husband have any such debts? Please pull up a copy of both your credit reports and check. Did you jointly hold any credit accounts with your husband or have you ever cosigned for a loan/credit card?

I might be completely off target with my assumptions here and you are the only one who can actually find out what GMC is trying to collect on. Any further information you can provide us with greatly enhance our ability to help you.

I am deeply sorry for your loss and I wish you find the strength to bear with the tragedy.
