I too have fallen into the trap of payday loans. At least I am relieved to see I am not alone. Any help would be so much appreciated!

I live in OH Borrowed paid as of today

PayDay Nation $500 $562.50
Cashnet USA $900 $808.60
Greatplains Lending $400 $397.56
Cash Web Usa $300 0
American web Loan $400 0
Check n go $2000 $2157.19 (installment loan)
Check n go (husbands) $2100 $324.46 (installement loan)

Except for CashNetUSA and Check n Go, all the other lenders listed here are illegal. You repay them nothing more than the principal and in case you have overpaid, demand a refund.

Send out copies of ACH revocation letters to your bank and to the lenders (you can also shut down your bank account to be doubly sure). If you have to pay them, do so only using a prepaid debit card or a money order.

If you are having trouble handling CashNetUSA (the balance is low and since you will not be compelled to make payments on most of the other loans, you can take care of this easy) and Check n Go, just call them and ask for an EPP.

Thanks for the response. I have contacted Cashnetusa and Checkngo asking for epp. The others I sent emails asking to have my acct paid in full and requested a refund. My question is does anyone know the Ohio laws? Any regulations on payday lenders like Cashnetusa & Checkngo...like how much interest, how many times they can rollover a loan, etc?

Sorry...this is LONG!
I am drowning in Paydayloan debt. I found this sight and have started to try and get it under control. I contacted customer service/support of CashNetUSA asking if something could be worked out. Like an EPP. I borrowed $900(this time....I have borrowed a couple times before and always paid everything off) and had already paid $473.12. I asked if I could be set up on an EPP and let them know I would not be able to make this fridays payment. They wrote back asking for 4 bi weekly payments of $283.96 starting this friday (so much for any kind of interest break) I wrote back this was still too much and I still would not have money on friday, so they wrote back again with this proposal
Payment Terms:
$ 50.00 10/12/12
$ 50.00 10/26/12
$208.00 11/09/12
$208.00 11/23/12
$208.00 12/07/12
$208.00 12/21/12
$203.78 01/04/13

I thought...ok a little better even though I am still getting reemed with interest BUT I agreed and sent this message:

That looks much better. I would have rather prefered just one debit a month, but if this is all you offer then I will take this.

Thanks so much for your cooperation!

So A little later they sent another email with this:

Thank you for contacting us to inquire about how you can pay off your balance.
At CashNetUSA, we strive to provide our customers with reasonable and realistic
payment terms. We are able to offer you the following payment arrangement based
on your upcoming pay dates.

Payment Terms:
$ 50.00 10/12/12
$ 50.00 10/26/12
$208.00 11/09/12
$208.00 11/23/12
$208.00 12/07/12
$208.00 12/21/12
$208.00 01/04/13
$205.36 01/18/13

So I looked a it quickly and sent a reply: Thank You! Assuming they were just resending it since I just agreed. I was happy and reliefed.

So this morning i get up and low and behold my bank account has been overdrafted with a negative balance because CASHNETUSA took out my original payment of $335.78. I thought WHAT???? What happened to $50?so I wrote and asked what was goin on and this is what they said:

That they did not recieve a response to agree to the new payments. I wrote back, yes I did and even sent a copy of the email. They then wrote back said they were sening it to collections and this is what they sent :

Thank you for contacting us to inquire about how you can pay off your
balance.The payment plan offered on 10/10/12 was not set up because we did not
receive your response back on the offer sent to you at 10pm. I do see that at
8pm that day we offered you a payment plan however the plan was missing one
payment and a new offer was sent at 10pm. We apologize for the error in
communication,please contact us back if the payment pending is going to return
unpaid.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact our Collections Team. We
are available seven days a week via phone and email.

I am LIVID!!!! I tried again to explain this was not my fault! They did not say in their sending of the 2nd email, that they forgot a week and i needed t agree again! Now I am screwed with no money at ALL for gas, food, my sons insulin.... I even tried 2 more times today to ask them to PLEASE refund the money minus the $50 we agreed on....now they won't even respond. So much for excellent customer service.

On a good note: Checkngo agreed to a EPP with 1/2 interest taken off, Great Plains and PaydayNation agreed to write off loans as paid in full! I was feeling so good and proud of myself until this!
