Global Check Processing sent a fax to my job requesting my supervisior to provide information about my employment to garnish my wages. Can they do this? I did not give them my fax number so I'm guessing they talk to someone in my area. I thought in order for a loan to garnish wages is to go court first and then garnish the wages.

This is the second one they have sent. The first time the guy was rude and I was shocked cause he knew the name of the main supervisor whose name I didn't give. They filled it out but than i got called in the office and said that it couldn't get sent back without my signature. I didn't sign it. Now this one I got today was sent to the fax in my office. I don't have to worry about it going through my supervisors again.

Exactly.

A wage garnishment, you wouldn't have to sign and you would be well aware of as you would have been told my judge this was going to happen.

A wage assignment is voluntary and they did right by not sending it in since you did not sign you denied that assignment.

If you have the company name make sure you send them a cease and desist. Also let them know you are revoking any wage assignment with them as well.
