The manager did say that they would re-deposit the check 3 times and then it would go to their corporate office? Anyone else had dealings like this?

You are liable for both the principal and interest as the lender is licensed in your state. Try to negotiate with your lender and if possible set up a payment arrangement with them. Keep in mind that legal lender can sue you because of non-payment of debt.

Call the company and tell them not to deposit the check again and keep a record of the call. Also let them know you are unable to pay and tell them not to call or contact you again. Additionally call the Center for Responsible Lending or CRL and tell them about your specific dealings with this company and they will give you some specific things to do and good advice. Don't fret. When you call the CRL, let them know how many deals you have done with this company and how much you have paid back in the past. Sounds like you are kinda trapped in a bad cycle of debt.

You can still revoke their ACH authorization. I had better luck dealing with the corporate offices on mine than the local stores, they only have so much power at the local level. While I didn't deal with Advance American, I did deal with two others.. I was able to email my letter of revocation of ACH authorization to one of them and the other didn't need to see it, but they did put it in writing that they would not ACH my account in an email.
Good Luck - let me know if I can be of any more help.

Sorry one more thing, you will want to have your bank account secure, so they can't run the check.. either hard block for deposit only or closed completely with a new one open not linked to the other. and you'll want to give copies of the letters to the bank showing you have revoked ACH authorization.
