Is there ever an end in sight?

I have been following this board since February. I closed my bank account, wrote and sent my letters, filed my complaints, and sent my letters to my hr person. In the beginning I was optimistic because I very easily had two lenders give me pif's, but all the others seemed to ignore my repeated emails. Now the collection scammers have started. In the beginning they called once a month but now it is getting to be weekly calls to my employer. Today a ms/mrs Romero called my job to verify things and never called my cell. My question is does all the calls ever stop or is this something I'm going to have to deal with until I move on to another job??? My nerves are at there wits end with all this. I know they can't legally garnish my wages but It still drives me. Its almost to the point that some of my coworkers want to tell them I was fired or died just so they will quit bugging them (we have no caller Id, they have to answer every call)
