Payday Loan Help in Texas
Date: Mon, 10/22/2012 - 09:19
Thank you for creating this forum. I've learned so much from it. We have 4 PDLs. The 2 that I believe are legal PDL or CSO companies here in TEXAS are CashNetUSA (1800 principal plus around 450 in fees & interest every 2 weeks) and CashCentral (1900 principal plus around 480 in fees & interest every 2 weeks.) The 2 that I'm not able to verify info on are Money2Advance / CCS (900 principal plus around 200 in int/fees every 2 weeks) and MultiLoanSource / AALM (700 principal plus around 150 every 2 weeks in int/fees.) Because of the info I found from you, I contacted CashNetUSA by phone & set up an extended payment plan (EPP) for 4 payments at around 455 each to pay it off. (They were great to work with, probably because they have made over 12k profit from me over the past 18months or so before I found your site.) I then contacted CashCentral but they required I default on my loan before they would work with me. In 18 months I have never defaulted or been late no matter how hard it's gotten but they insisted so,with my bank's help, I just defaulted on it this past week. I'm now waiting for them to set up the 4 payments they SAY they'll give me. (Hope that's true.) As for the other 2, I'm past the extension point & into the rollover point, which I believe is illegal in Texas so I tend to believe that further points to them being illegal here. Can you tell me what your latest info on them is? Do you also find them to be illegal in Texas? I'm contacting them today because I've over paid principal to Money2Advance and paid all but $100 of the principal to MultiLoanSource. I have payments due on the 26th of approx. $280 & $200 but don't want to continue giving them free money if they are illegal. I can't close my bank account for other reasons & I can't stop all ACH debits because of the EPP payments coming out on the 2 big legal PDL/CSOs. I simply have to hope I can work this out with "stop payment" orders & negotiating. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE LATEST INFO YOU HAVE ON MONEY2ADVANCE AND MULTILOANSOURCE IN REGARDS TO LEGAL STATUS IN TEXAS. ANY OTHER ADVICE YOU HAVE TO OFFER WOULD ALSO BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I AM STUDYING YOUR FORUM AS QUICKLY AS I CAN. Thank you again. You are a lifesaver. Wish I'd found you long ago.
