I am trying to refinance my home but the company told me that Palisades Collection put a $6,000+ judgment on my credit report. I have looked into it and its someone else. What can I do? What can I do to PalisadesCollection for the inconvenience?

Well you can't do anything to Palisades at this juncture as they can claim a bonifide error. What you need to do is dispute the tradeline with the credit reporting agencies since they are not yours. This can be as simple as a phone call. If you run into any trouble then you would have to send a certified letter to palasades and point out that they have erroneously placed an item in your credit file and that it is effecting you adversely...give them a time frame to deal with the matter, say 10 business days...and if they don't remove it in that time frame THEN you can sue them.
