I have 5 PDLs that I want to pay back, but I can't lose my car and apartment as well. What legal action can I take to slow down the bleeding? I've only paid the refinance fees so far. Here's my loan information:

CashNetUSA (internet)
Loan $750
Paid $288

Ace Cash (internet/picked up at store)
Loan $500
Paid $303

MyCashNow (internet)
Loan $400
Paid $149

CCS/Money2Advance (internet)
Loan $800
Paid $700

Integrity Advance (internet)
Loan $650
Paid $312

I read the thread about ACH revoke emails. I'm taking these to my bank Monday morning. Is there anything else I can do?

Ace Cash and CashNetUSA are legal CSOs so unless you have defaulted already, call their local/corporate office and ask them for the EPP. That should ease things up a lot.

Amongst the other 3, two are DE based illegal lenders and the other one is an illegal offshore lender. You pay them nothing more than the principal. Revoke ACH immediately.

Thanks for the assistance stevebarris. I'm going in this morning to the bank to submit my ACH Revocation letters. I haven't defaulted yet, so I'll call ACE Cash and CashNetUSA to set up an EPP.

I took my ACH Revocation letters to the bank with proof that I sent an email (didn't have time to fax them or mail them) and the bank manager I spoke with said that the bank doesn't get involved. He admitted that he didn't know what I was speaking of, but proposed that I do stop payements.

The only problem is the stop payment is for a specific amount. Has anyone had any other banks not accept an ACH Revocation letter? I'm going to try another bank and I'm going armed with a copy of the federal law in hand.

Any other ideas?

I turned in my ACH revocation letters last week at a different Chase bank. Luckily I spoke with someone who was fairly versed in Regulation E and ACH revokes. She immediately called the legal office because she wasn't sure if there was an official form I had to fill out.

Chase doesn't have a form, but she copied all the letters and also signed one that I brought to verify who I gave the letters to. She also recommended I close my account. The fact of the matter is as long as the companies have my banking information they can submit a request for money. So we closed the account, moved my money, and I immediately called the Payroll department to have my paycheck rerouted.

Sure enough 2 of the 5 PDL companies submitted a request for payment. I'm happy I followed her advice. I'm paying the money back, but I will not be giving out any banking information going forward.
