Persistent phone call to a private house, that have nothing to do with the person they are asking for.

Hello, since the last two month we've been receiving phone call from Zwicker and Associates, and they always ask for a Brian. They are calling a private home, my husband is a Protestant Minister, and we do not have neither ever have a Brian living here, its only my husband and me and our cat who living here. Everytime they call us, they asked for Brian, I told them several time, that they have a wrong number, then I ask them one time, , what number do you have?, and they gave us our current phone number. We've been having this number for several years, and I think maybe this number belong to the last owner of this number. Who knows??? one thing is sure, they are wrong calling here, because we have no knowledge of a Brian, or else.

We are sick and tire to be harass with their many phone call, we have no debts collections and have an excellent credit report and have nothing to do with the Brian they ask for. Please inform me, of a phone number I can call and report them for abuses, and how to have them stop harrasing us ?

Get their mailing address and send them a cease & desist letter. Unfortunately many of these places think you are lying about not knowing a person, or are that person and just not admitting to it. Some of them even have the audacity to call you a liar right on the phone call.

You could lodge a complaint with your state AG and their state AG but they will also suggest you send a cease & desist. If they continue to call after you send the letter (sent it CMRR) then you can sue them in small claims court and they can pay you for calling you.
