hello i am in tn. i have used pdl in the past and paid in full, after paying a lot of interest. i have recently had to re-loan with them. i just found out that many internet pdl;s are illegal. i realize tn just made some changes to the law also, though i am not quite clear on what they are. here are my loans
zip19- borrowed 550. -will debit 656. on 11/9
everest cash advance- borrowed 500-paid -1226.5 so far. they take an extra 25.00 per payment towards the principal. i think my principal is 400 now.
vip loan shop-Borrowed 300-paid 90 so far
hydra III- borrowed 300-paid 90 so far
fox enterprises-borrowed 300-paid 810 so far
cash ina wink-borrowed 300 paid 225 s0 far
govt temp gecc-borrowed 300 paid 198 so far
rkm llc- borrowed 300-will debit for first time on 11/9- 90$
cash cure borrowed 800- will debit for first time on 11/9-176$

i have every intention of paying the principal on all of these. i have done it before. i just have too many right now and the interest is eating my entire paycheck. i am going to call my work tomorrow and request a paper check for a while and stop direct deposit. my concern is the bank. if i send the letters out to the pdl and the bank does not close my account, will the pdl debit my account immediatley for the full amount? i have read a lot of the advice on here and i am prepared to put forth all the work required to end this so i can have my life back. thanks, :)

quick question, do i take into consideration the previous loans i had with the payday loan companies, (and overpaid before paying in full,) when i send them the ach revokation letters? for example, i had a loan with everest cash advance and probably paid 300 extra before i paid it off. then 3 months later i reloaned. should i add that overpayment amount to the letter as well?
thanks,

Thank you! that makes a huge difference. before i closed my bank account, i went online and made a spreadsheet of all the PDL transactions i have had since April. I included every transaction in my email to the lenders and requested refunds for overpayments. i started sending out the letters at 5:15pm eastern time and have already heard back from one lender. i am so thankful that this site is here. you have been a great source of knowledge.

just got another PIF email today. Whoo! 2 down so far without a fight. I had my WHOLE paycheck today for the first time in 6 months. I have one lender who is being a pain so far, but I am not giving up. i have not heard anything from the others yet. I feel empowered finally. Thank you again for this site. :D

2nd PIF was from Everest cash advance. i got an email first that said they were confirming my C&D letter, then i got the PIF statement. I also got an email from VIP Loan Shop confirming receipt of my C&D letter, but i have not received a PIF statement yet, but both lenders are under the same company, ( e finance support) and they both came from the same email address. when i log into the websites, it shows the same message for both. "please call 1-888... for the status on your account. I am counting the VIP Loan Shop as a win also.
I am just so happy to have money for food and to be able to pay my essentials. i only wish i had found this site sooner.

Great news again, so happy for you -- yes this forum is a god send for sure..Not even sure how I found it in September - but so glad I did - still working on some legal lenders here in AZ - should be done with all of them in Feb. But I did some math and between the 3 online illegal lenders (2 still fighting with) and 2 legal lenders that I have been able to work out plans with I went from spending $1,245.632 a month to them to only $200.00 a month between the 2 legal lender payment arrangements, settlement offers in Feb to pay in full. The others will be about $925.00 a month -- I don't even remember how or when it all happened.. Just glad it is almost over.. So once all is said and done I will have $2,170.63 back each month!!! Not sure how I kept all afloat for so long.. But nice to have my paycheck back..

i just logged into cashcure.com to check my account status and it says paid in full. i never even received any correspondance from them after i sent my letter, so i thought i should check. that makes 4 down in less than a week.

also, i had been emailing integrity advance and they were being stubborn about paying until i asked them for proof of their legality in my state, then they sent me and email asking me to call them and that my account had been sent to the recovery department. i called them and he asked why i was being difficult and not paying, i told him i was not being difficult and all i wanted was a valid mailing address to remit payment to. ( i owe 350 to them). so the guy put me on hold and then disconnected me. i got a voice mail from a woman this time wanting to discuss my account. my question is this: is it ok for me to demand contact only via email? do i really need to go round and round on the phone with these people? does it reflect bad on me to not call them back?

i did make a good faith call to speak to the woman that called me. she put me on hold and then sent me to the manager. he was a jerk. threatening me, also said they do not take payment via postal mail, that they take prepaid debit cards only. i told him i would pay via prepaid debit and when i told him i would pay only the 350 remaining, he started threatening again so i hung up on him. another person called me back and left a voice mail to call to discuss settling the account. i dont even want to play this game with them.

so something interesting has happened. I stopped receiving phone calls. i was getting several a day from cashcure, zip19 and integrity advance. i know that my state dept of finance has sent a letter to integrity advance so that may explain that one. i sent email to the others asking for proof to lend in tennessee and also notifying them that i was filing with my AG. i also found out from my state that it is the lenders responsibility to ask a customer if they have more than 3 loans out and how much is out. if the customer has more than 3 loans and they are over 500, then the lender is supposed to reject the loan. none of these illegals ever ask and i never signed anything to that effect, so the contract is void. i have been sending that info in my email to them also. i am sure i will hear something from a collection dept, but at least i am ready. anyone else in tennessee dealing with this and has a story to tell, i would love to hear it. thanks!

got another PIF letter today. This one was from GECC (cash direct express). yipee!
For anyone going through this PDL hell, please take the time to read through these posts on this site, follow the directions very closely that the experienced people have put on here, they know what they are talking about. Be vigilant, be smart, be empowered. This CAN be done. I am doing and all I did was follow the steps listed. Keep good records and keep a notebook of contact, phone numbers, times and dates. That is my best advice. Good Luck!

i received this email today:
Applicant# xxxxxxxxxxx
Dear xxxxxxxxxxxx,
Your account with Hydra Financial Limited Fund I was sent to National Credit Adjustors, 866-660-1626
Thank you,
FTPIC

what should i do at this point? do i call them and ask for a dunning letter? i borrowed 300 and paid 90. so i owe 210 in principal, which i am willing to pay of course, but i am sure that will not sit well with NCA. i have been reading some past posts and NCA seems vicious.

Your loan was illegal. By Hydra selling it they have committed another illegal act. This collection company will now use threats etc. to try to get you to pay an illegal loan. If you can get a physical address sen a C&D letter. You no longer owe the principal due to this action by Hydra in my opinion.
