Hi there, For 2 years i have been taking out a loan with this group, I paid back alot of fees. The loan was for 300 dollars. I repaid it, took out a new loan, and closed my bank account. Do i have to repay them. I live in Wi, They keep calling and saying they are going to serve me papers. I feel i already paid them back with previous loans. Thanks

"I paid more on the loan versus what I took out" is true for legal payday loans as well. Did you check to see if the lender is actually licensed in your state? If they aren't, that agreement is null and void and you can make your checking account deposit only to prevent people from drawing against it. You can't be sent to jail for not paying a payday loan and if it is illegal you are only liable for the principal.
