Letter from LTD Financial Services

I received a call from LTD Financial Services about an alleged debt. I sent them a letter requesting validation and they responded :
Thank you. We are in receipt of your validation request. This request has been forwarded to the original creditor. We have suspended all collection activity. Please allow 45 to 60 days for fulfill the request.
Do have to allow them that time? I thought they had to respond in 30 days and if they don't the debt is no longer collectable.

Only Texas requires they validate within 30 days. If you read the FDCPA, there is no timeline stated...they just cannot continue collecting until they validate.
