Woke up this morning to this lovely e-mail in my inbox:

This is to inform you that your account with us has been in default for
over 2 weeks now. Attempts have been made to contact you regarding your account. Your refusal to contact us in return has been an indication
that you do not intend to make good on the advance.

As a step in our normal collection process we have reported the account
to Telecheck and Teletrak Services. Being listed in these two services
prevents check writing at major retailers, as well as applying for
additional advances, or checking/savings accounts at financial
institutions nearly impossible.

This, of course, can be remedied by making FULL PAYMENT on the amount of the advance, in which we extended to you in good faith, or by calling and making an arrangement that both you and mypaydayloan.com are comfortable with. Continuous refusal to make good on the advance will result in the account being turned over to an outside collection agency
for full recovery plus an additional 35% of the advance amount charged
for fees and services.

Granted that they are an illegal offshore lender, can they do this or is it (as I suspect) a scare tactic? I doubt it would matter to me either way, as I've closed that account, have already opened another account, and don't see myself writing checks anytime in the future.

well teletrack is what pdl's use to approve someone so i wouldn't care about that, but they can't legally report you to telecheck as you never gave a check.btw banks go by chexsystems, and that is for accounts that have been closed because of NSF'S,or similar.they are feeding you a line of BS on that.again they can't legally report this a bad check as you gave no check, and unless you want another pdl teletrack is nothing to worry about.
