They'll certainly try to debit amount from your account. I am saying this from my previous experience.
okay
yes united is part of MNE/MTE and therefore unless as soaplady stated you gave the ACH revocation letter to your bank and secured/closed your account they will attempt to debit.now their"compliance dept"is just their term for collections.once the payment is rejected they will contact and lie out of their a$$e$.do not believe a word they say as they are illegal and you only owe the principle.just a heads up on that as i too have dealt with them.

I emailed them so many times I can't count. All I ever got was someone will be in contact with you. I offered to pay balance of principal if they would give address, again no response. I faxed and emailed the ach revocation, no response. Called and they said contact compliance dept via email, no response. Finally, I sent them an email and said this is the last email I am sending you and I would consider the loan paid in full since they would not respond to me. I also told them if they attempted to debit my account my bank would consider it fraud. I also included in my last email regarding the suit that has been brought against them by the FTC. Haven't heard anything from them period. The 5th was the day for payment and so far they haven't tried. I hope they have gone away.

united call/and good news
So I just got off of the phone with United Cash Loans. They must have gotten my 12 or so emails and finally got back to me. The man on the phone told me that I owed them another 750.00. I explained that I had already overpaid on the principle and that I was not paying any more. I also told him that I had filed a complaint with the AG and FTC. He just kept saying that I owed them more and then hung up on me.
They are supposed to debit my account on Thursday. I had to pay to block that and I have opened another account. I can't close this one for about another week.
On a good note though, I managed to get a PIF from Idealgelt today and from CP Investors!!!!!!! Thanks to all of you who have guided and advised.:p/
United Compliance Dept.
So I emailed and faxed United Cash Loans constantly for days. Never got a response. Loan was due on the 5th. They did not attempt a debit so I know they got my emails. On the 13th I get an email from their recovery dept. Said my loan was in default and they were attempting to collect. I was directed to a website to log in and I could make an offer to settle. If they accepted my offer fine if not then they could immediately counteroffer. I offered to pay 120.00 which is the balance of the principal. They denied that. They countered offered with 10% off the original loan of 300.00 + 90 in fees. I just left the website and went back to the email. I replied to their email from the recovery dept. and told them that I knew they were an illegal tribal lender and that in April of 2012 the FTC filed a suit against them. Since I am in Mississippi I abide by the laws of the state I reside and not their reservation. I again reminded them that since they were not licensed in the state of MS they were operating illegally and if they attempted a debit on my account I would report it as fraud. I went on to tell them that the only amount I would pay would be 120.00 on my terms which was 2 payments of 60.00 ea. beginning on 12/01/2012 and again on 01/01/2013 and these payments would be sent via usps via money order. They could accept that or do whatever they wanted. If they chose to sent to a collection agency I would cease and desist them because they cannot not collect on an illegal loan.
I'll just wait and see what happens. Prior to default I changed all phone numbers they had on me. :p

I know everyone says stay off the phone with the PDL's but I called United yesterday after I reveived an email from their recovery dept. I blocked my number. Got the rudest person on the phone possible. After telling her that I would be glad to pay the balance of the principal in 2 payments she exploded. I paid 180.00 on a 300.00 loan and offered to pay 120.00. I told her I was aware of the suit filed against them by the FTC and that they were operating illegally in the state of MS. I was only morally obligated to pay the the bal of principal and that is all I would pay. You couldn't get a word in with this gal. Finally she put me on hold for a supervisor. I repeated what I had told the first one. The first one did tell me she was a collection agency for United. I told the supervisor that she had violated the rules of collections with some of the things she told me. and that upon discovering they were not licensed to lend in Miss. I had filed a complaint with the FTC, BBB and AG in Miss. They both told me that paying anyway other than by electronic means was not possible. I told them that accepting a fee to renew was illegal in Miss and that they had to have a license to lend. Supervisor said she did not have to abide by rules of any state other than Oklahoma. I asked her wasn't she tribal to which she said yes and I was bound by the laws of Oklahoma on this loan. I disputed her and said I was bound by Miss laws and they had broken them. She stated that they would accept the 120.00 however that would be considered a partial payment and they would continue collection on the balance. She said if I did not agree to pay the reduced amount of 330.00 that she was offering me out of the kindness of her heart then she would mark the account refused to pay. I told her that I was not refusing to pay, I was offering to pay the 120.00 and she was refusing acceptance of my money. Last thing I told her was she could accept the 120.00 and consider the loan paid in full or she could do whatever she wanted. If she chose to sue me then go ahead, that I had no plans of showing up on there reservation and she wouldn't come to Miss. If she turned it over to a collection agency I would cease and desist them because they could not attempt collection on an illegal loan.
Ball is in there park. I have no intentions of contacting them again. I will only respond to their emails if I get any and it will be the same. Take the 120.00 or eat dirt.

Yep, stick to your guns. If they want their money, they will give you an option to pay under your terms. If not, their loss.

I have taken a big risk by not closing my checking account. Hopefully, they won't try and debit me. I know that they received the emails and faxes that I sent because they did not attempt to debit me on the due date. Since they have now according to UCL sent it to their recovery dept. I guess it is possible they will try. I told them yesterday when we talked that ACH had already been revoked via email and faxes prior to the due date. I started this morning sending them emails again stating that ACH is revoked. I've sent 4. I did tell them in the first email from their recovery dept. that if they attempted debit I would report it as fraud since they are an illegal lender. All the contact numbers they had on me were changed prior to me being in default. So if they call they will get someone but it won't be me. I just made up some numbers. I think they will just give up. 120.00 is going to make or break them. So they can take it or as I said EAT DIRT. I'm not going to pay them a cent more. ;)

Okay so I gave up the fight with these people. Sorta. They absolutely have the rudest bunch of people working for them. Anyway, after faxes and emails for days, changed all my phone numbers before defaulting on this illegal loan, which by the way didn't do any good because they still called me on my cell, I finally made a deal with them. I borrowed 300.00 made 2 payments of 90.00, which they call renewal fees. That left me with a balance of 120.00 on the principal which I was bound and determined that was all I was going to pay. But yesterday I finally gave in. I offered to pay them 210.00 in 2 payments on a prepaid debit card with the first one being 12/01 and the second on 12/15. When this started on Monday they were wanting me to pay them 390.00. If I had done that I would have paid 570.00 on a 300.00 loan. With what I finally got them to do will wind up costing me 390.00. But if that will make them go away then so be it.
To anyone out there dealing with them go luck! They will call non stop and beleive me I can go toe to toe with the best of them but these guys are relentless.
If there is a silver lining to this cloud it is that I will never never never have to deal with them again.
Please be wary about using the phone in the future.
