I'm an idiot..just getting that out of the way. I was scared I'd be paying..reloaning...paying..reloaning with them for the rest of my life. I stumbles upon this board and decided to get out!

I live is Massachusetts. I've been reloaning with zip for an embarrassingly long time. My current loan is $455 with zero paid because they don't allow rollovers. I saw in numerous other threads that people can attempt to say their fees on previous loans warrant a PIF on the current loan. I've paid...brace yourselves probably about $3000 in fees. Like I said...embarrassing.

I closed my bank account and sent my letter to their email as instructed elsewhere on this board. No reaponse. They tried to hit my old bank of america account and the payment was rejected. This was Monday. They called me yesterday. I answered because I didn't want them calling my references. I asked if she recieved my email to which she said they don't correspond through email. Only phone calls. I told her I couldn't talk and I'd call her the next day.

Today she called again...so I again answered. I told her what I wrote in email and she got snippy with me. Saying they aren't illegal. Theyve been around 10 years..blah blah. Told me when I signed the contract I didn't agree to the terms and laws ofmy state but to the laws of Malta. She proceeded to tell me when I got my money I was happy and the billion other times I loaned I was happy so all of a sudden I think they're illegal is bull. So rude. I told her I would only discuss this account once I received a refund for my overpayments. She told me that wasn't going to happen...eventually said whatever and hung up on me. Awesome..

So...what is my next step...? Should I try to physically mail something? Should I answer anymore calls? I don't want them calling my job or friends...that terrifies me beyond belief. I'm a manager...I can't have people under me knowing this..

give them a copy of the revocation letter.do that and they shouldn't honor it.if they do then the payroll person opens themselves and the company up to a lawsuit by you.stop worrying and give the the letter to them.

If I was you I would tell them to screw off and just ignore them from this point forward. I would also resend the email with a note on the bottom saying that they can stick it where the sun don't shine. When I dealt with them they stopped calling after about a week of me ignoring their calls. Don't let them scare you they can do nothing to you.

I'm just more scared of them harassing my friendsand ccoworkers. Do you think if I ignore them they'll try the next number on their list right away? Ugh I hate this. I feel so sick.

I'm a glutton for punshiment I guess..
I was called again today. I answered (I know I know) it was a guy who was told to review my file. They are contacting my payroll office Monday to get their wage assignment. (Sigh) said I couldn't revoke it. I agreed to the terms and fees..they were black and white each time. He said they aren't illegal because they don't have an office here in the US. They are also not illegal because they do not have rollovers. he also wanted me to be aware of the fact they will shown up on my credit report.

I need to call him back today or they will proceed. I need help fast!!!!!!!!

Tell your coworkers you have been scammed and that if they call to hang up or better yet utilize an airhorn in their ear. Put the call on hold or even better sing to them. Ask them stupid questions. Forward the call to your local police department. Eventually they will figure out that they will get nowhere with you.

I've revoked my wage assignment but I'm scared its not enough..they said they didn't receive it. Hasanyone actually ever had their wages ttaken? Does zip 19 actually follow through with the wage assignment. I'm so embarrassed that if I don't call them they'll call here at work. They keep putting the blame on me..which I get but its terribly depressing. It makes me want to pay but I just have to be strong. I know its their tactic to tell me I'm wrong and they are legit blah blah

let me address each point.

1)wage assignments are revocable so do it if you haven't
2)they are illegal for the fact they are not in THE US.
3)haven't seen any instance where they were on a CR

stop talking to them!!!!!!!!!!next time hang up without a word.they just want to harrass and argue.stop giving them that.

if zip got it or not.make sure your payroll person/HR person has it and won't honor it.that is more important now.

you probably will not hear from them anymore on this loan. Once they figure out that you know your rights they stop with all the calling and emails. In fact I have not heard anything from them or their collections department for well over a year.

The collectors...they probably work off commission..right? Are they located here somewhere or over seas? She had no accent of any sort or anything so I was just curious.

I can say this that zip19 never tried to actually send anything to my employer even though they kept threatening me that they would. After I stopped answering the phone it took them about a week to stop calling me. If you have a smartphone you can download any number of apps that you can use to were you won't even have your phone ring. Though I would say the advice earlier about the blowhorn would be something fun to do to the collectors for these lowlifes.

So I hadn't received any contact in months and I get this email today that they are honoring my request for written communication. I was offered to pay $75 a month until the end of November to clear up my account. Now that was the total I borrowed, $450, but over the course of my time loaning from them I've paid thousands in fees. Should i take this payment arrangement? They didn't specify any things that may happen if i don't pay.

No you should not accept this offer - in total how much borrowed and in total how much repaid to date? That is what you owe - respond back with your counter offer if they want anything then they will accept or not.. if you don't owe anything and they owe you a refund tell them that, if you just want a PIF in lieu of refund tell them that..

And please register with the forums...

haha, i've tried to join, i don't know if i'm just having issues figuring out how or what..
anyway, zip doesn't do roll overs, so techinically i guess i would owe this amount. my feelings though..i've paid so much in fees over the last couple years, that they should owe me if anything. I'd be happiest with a refund, but would settle for a PIF. i already requested the PIF but they countered with this. i'm just scared now because i've recently married and my husband owns his own business and for once in my life, i'm happy. i have this dark secret though and would be so embarrassed if he found out. like i mentioned, i've wasted thousands in fees. :( We are looking to buy a house within a year or so..i'm just worried it will ruin my credit or show up somewhere to haunt me. i know i need to be strong though..i just never expected to hear from them again. :(
