Then you will be fine -- If
Then you will be fine -- If you used the example letter on here to begin with, which I believe you did - you more than likely already put this in - you can send them the same way you did before if not..
Here is the way most are worded if you followed the example on here. "I am also revoking authorization for ACH withdrawals and any wage assignment I may have signed. I have given a copy of these revocations to both my bank and my employer. Any future attempts to collect funds in this manner will be blocked."
All the payday loan lenders
All the payday loan lenders are illegal. It is best to revoke voluntary wage assignment. These companies can very well try to garnish your wage. Don't get too worried. You're just taking precautions from beforehand.
Will do ASAP
I will send the letters out to the lenders right away, luckily my HR Dept, Boss is also my aunt and she would check with me before doing anything like that. Thanks to all for the advice.
If they are fighting then
If they are fighting then they are probably not enabled to try to hit your paycheck via your employer. Better to play it safe I say. Revoke voluntary wage assignment in writing with your payroll/HR and send a copy of the letter to each of your lenders.
A garnishment is court order.
A garnishment is court order. What you signed is voluntary wage assignment which you can revoke at anytime. Simply send them a letter
"I hereby revoke any and all wage assignments I may have signed in regards to account # ___________ effective immediately. "
Give a copy to your payroll department.
