Liberty (Collections) - Harassment

I am 99% sure this is some sort of scam, or a collection agency trying to get information from me or about me. I did have some financial issues about a year ago, which I have finally gotten some control of.
But isn't this kind of harassment illegal? Should I do anything? Anyone else have experiences like this, or with "Liberty"?
The phone # they left is 866-231-8453, which takes you here: http://www.hometownrentals.info/index-mobile.htm Do you think this is a front for a sleazy collector? This is a scam. There is no doubt about it. This is just a scare tactic. Don't give any attention to it. Register a complaint against them to CFPB.

UPDATE!
They called my cell phone AGAIN today - three times - same deal - an Eli Jones calls from a blocked number, with a case number, and says that I might be served with papers at work UNLESS I call his "client" (whom he never names). This time he left a new number, 866-448-1104, and when I called it I get "Liberty". He says he will also call my boss again. How do I get this to stop?
