i just received a call from my local court house that they are trying to give me summons through Delaware associates for mesa financial. I got a payday loan years ago from mesa and paid it plus some. I live in pa what is my course of action, do I need a lawyer?

I highly doubt your court house is calling you since courthouses do not serve summons....sounds like the creditor or collector is breaking the law by impersonating a court officer. Check the online dockets at your local county court....betting that nothing is filed.

Thanks....I looked on the docket online and Idid a search and your right my name did not come up. The guy that called me gave me his cell number which is a Buffalo, NY number I live in Pa. He also gave me Delaware Associates number who I called and they said Mesa Financial is sueing me. Again this was a payday loan that I got back in 2007 for $300 and paid close to $600.00. I have all the documents to prove it. What is the statute of limitations in PA?
