Hello, I was contacted by a payday loan collection company that says I took out a loan a few years ago on the internet and have not paid it back..But I can not ever remember taking one out I have set up a payment arrangment and only have one 75.00 payment left..well yesterday these people called my grandparents I have no idea how they got there number and told them that he was a lawyer and that they were going to come out and serve me with a court summons. So I called the people back and asked for a mailing address or a fax number that I was going to hire and attorney to look into this matter and they freaked out and hung up on me when I called back they said that they could not speak to me any long to have my attorney call them but by the time he got around to doing so I would already be served and on my way to court the law firm is NCS Financial Services. and the loan was suppost to be from PDL Ventures. My husband is telling me I have been scammed because we can not find anything on this law firm. When I ask them to mail me something they say no I can only email...but now they are calling my family members and telling them that I have commited fraud and that I will be in jail soon and court. Can these people do that and is this a real company?
Yeah…they are scammers. They
Yeah…they are scammers. They are just trying to scare you. Don’t share any personal information with them. Next time if they call you back, hang up on them.
Well, NCS is a scamming
Well, NCS is a scamming bottomfeeder. Ignore the calls and file complaints with the AG, the FTC and the county cops. If you wish to you can also have the number blocked.
P.S: Debts are civil, not criminal. You cannot be charged with fraud or throw in jail for failing to repay a debt.
