I have a loan with paydayone and it originally was for the amount of $700. Since the loan started I have paid $1359.17 to them with them saying I still owe $490 on the principal. Has anyone worked with them? Are they legal in Ohio? Any help would be appreciated!!

I don't know all the specifics like some of the others here but here is a link to the rules for Ohio. I don't see that they have in Ohio. Here is a link to other discussions about Ohio laws on payday loans. Maybe they will help..

I just spoke to them on the phone and the man I talked to wanted me to get the bank to send in a form to allow ACH withdrawals. I already revoked them so do I want to allow them access to my account? He is also telling me that the only options I have is to pay $614 which they say is what I owe or refinance the loan and pay $194 and part of that will go to the balance. I'm so confused...

I dont think it is a good idea to let them debit your account.  Have you already paid the principal?  If not set up payments with money orders.  Have you searched this site for info?

Call Ohio Department of Fin Institutions and find out if they are lisensed in your state. If they are not you do not owe them a cent more.
One of the experts need to respond and they can help you so much more than me. But call them tomorrow....and post on here what you find out. Is this your only paday loan? I had 12!

I spent 45 minutes on the phone arguing with them about wanting to do a repayment plan on the pricipal. I told them that under Ohio law I am allowed to ask for a repayment without any fees. The person I talked to told me that is not true and my only option was to rollover the loan or pay the whole amount which i would if i had the money! I contacted the attorney general to let them know about this. Am I on the right track with this or am I so far off?

paydayone is a CSO(credit service organization)and not under pdl laws.they will be registered as a CSO with your DFI.i hate it but since it is not a pdl it is legal, and you must try and work with them.again wish i had better news.
