Can I stop payday loans

I have two payday loans. My bank account is not negative but I want to stop paying both companies. I have repaid the entire principal amount of on both loans plus some. Can I legally make the stop withdrawing money from my account? I live in Michigan.

Plain Green Loans - original loan amount $2400
Paid 10 monthly payments of $292 for a total of $2920

Eastsidelenders - original loan amount of $400
Paid 4 monthly payments of $200 for a total of $800



Both Plain Green Loans and Eastside lenders are illegal lenders. You need to follow the instructions under Sticky "dealing with unlicensed lenders". It is my understanding that several people on this site have been able to receive refunds from Eastside Lenders. I don't have any personal experience with them. As far as Plain Green, I was able to have them mark my loan PIF with not too much protest.

Expecting a refund is not worth it, most of these illegal PDLs do not do so. Best way to stick it to them is to file complaints with the AG and the FTC.
