Date: Thu, 03/28/2013 - 01:40
Appreciate the help in advance.
Info:
Neiman Marcus
Date Open - 9/2004
Last activity - 1/2008
Charge Off - 2/2009
Cavalry Portfolio Service appears to have bought that debt and reports
Date Open - 12/2011
Show C (collection) from 1/2012 to 3/2013
What is the next best step?
How can I get Cavalry off my report?
Since Neiman Marcus debt is past 4 years, can Cavalry still sue me?
Can I get Neiman Marcus off my report since it is so old?
Thanks

If you're feeling lucky you
If you're feeling lucky you can try to dispute it off. Very rarely the CA won't bother to validate it to the credit reporting agency and it'll come off.
The debt is out of SOL for
The debt is out of SOL for California....if they attempt to sue you, your defense would be that the debt is out of SOL and time barred. However, you still owe the debt. and Calvary and the OC can continue to report for the full 7 year SOL.
