BBB has given an unsatisfactory report about this company. Like you said, if the collection agency places such rude and hateful calls to the customers, they will be always complained.

Have you placed a complaint against them at the local AG's office? Their might be several others complaining against them. The company's address is given below. They also have an office in Fresno, CA.

I have just had the same experience with the same guy I'm assuming. Cursing and yelling and calling me at my place of employment! I am filing a complaint TODAY with the AG's office. Any follow-up on what happened with your cases? I also owed a debt to Cash Advance USA and this guy was very rude!

I just got off the phone from speaking to a Mary Johnson from that company. She yelled threats to me and called me all kinds of names. She told me I made her sick and I was going to get arrest at my job for my debt. Is this true?

debts are civil matters,not criminal ones.only a bottomfeeder would threaten that.it means they can't really do anything but try to scare you into paying.in short no you can't and won't be arrested for owing money.

I get these all the time for my EX-HUSBANDS debt. I can currently married to a TX DPS State Trooper and they can not and will not file a warrent for your arrest and the fraudulent looking check "attached" can not be used in a court of law!!!

A collection agency can't make any threats while attempting to collect a debt. It is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act (fdcpa). I would not complain to the Attorney General's Office - they just ignore it. The only way you are going to be able to stop them is to file a lawsuit in small claims court. 15 U.S.C. Section 1692(d) of the FDCPA is being violated. In your lawsuit, ask for $1,000 for each violation of the FDCPA plus costs.

I've been harrassed constantly by this guy named Mike Mendez from this place. He says he will issue a warrant and garnish my wages. I had two PDL and I closed my checking account. Never notified them that I was going to do it. I had been involved in a scam unrelated to this matter, but still failed to notify them of what was happening. He said I could face time in jail and they could garnish my wages. He constantly calls at work after I asked him not to. Can they do this?

I too had some dealings with both Mary and Mike. I forwarded all info to my lawyers and I am in process of filing a claim. Mary called my cell phone and left the most disrespectful message ever, Ilet y lwayers here it and He was excited. She made a lot of threats which she is not supposed to do while collecting a debt. I also filed a complaint with the bbb. Just record all calls, emails, etc.. when they call write it down (time and date) Get in touch with Weisberg & Meyers LLC. They are good at this! You can look them up online!

I had 2 PDL with those guys and honestly I wanted to pay that just to take them out of the way. Because the harrased at any time, them what happened is that I got a court notification *that I ignored* but..... them I realize that even I thought that all that was just BS, 2 police officer knock my door to check out my signature with one that was on the *worthless check* Mike called me once and asked me to reconsider my position, but I thought again that nothing was gonna happened..... He sue me!. And I had to pay them the check amount plus damages :-(

When "collectors" state they are going to have a warrant issued for your arrest, next time just ask them if they are representing themselves as a law enforcement official and if so, with which county and precinct? They will immediately change their tunes. Then tell them YOU are reporting them for attempting to impersonate a police office/peace office and hang up.

Is this guy harassing you also? He claims that they have their own lawyers for this company and he is one of them. I can hardly believe it because he is so unprofessional. Please relay any feedback you can. Thanks.

OMG... I thought I was crazy.. They called and left a voicemail calling me a low life B----!!! And telling me that they were going to make me lose my job and I even had one of them call and pretend that he was a sherrif in my county. Little did they know my father in law is a retired sheriff deputy for the same county and I called to verify and they had never heard of this person. WHAT CAN I DO?? Isn't it against the law to impersonate a POLICE officer and threaten people??

A posting on this site said that Capital Collections, LLC in Gulfport MS has an office in Fresno, CA. That is a false statement. My attorney who filed a federal suit against Capital Collections in Gulfport MS had it served on Capital Collections, LLC in Fresno. They are not the same party. The Fresno Capital filed an answer proving they are a different company and now I have to pay their court costs and they are asking for attorney's fees.

Hi we received a fax in my job from Paul Martinez, with a complaint for warrant and believe this guy send the local police department, I lost my job and I have a court coming this week because now I will be force to pay late fees, extensions damages and attorneys fees...... If you read this do not sign the contract ever.... now they got me....

Nope, no warrant. A warrant is for criminal charges. If you have any proof they said that you can sue them and win damages of $1000 plus possible court costs and attorney fees.

i've received a letter from capital collections, LLC in fresno and when i first saw it it made no sense! first of all if ur a real agency why dont u have any account info on the letter? why is the address a PO box number?
i called the only two service providers ive ever had and they said that i didnt owe anything!!
and when a customer service representative tried helping by calling the number on the letter, no one answered. so she then gave me the address of this "exclusive wireless" company and it happens to be different from what the address on the letter is. and coincidentally the same zip code as mine.
can anyone say scam!!!

Mr Garcia, and Mr. Martinez, both very rude...do not listen to what you are saying. Mr. Garcia called my wife at work, after I had made an agreement to pay in full, and threatened her, saying it was her responsibility. All of this before the date I had agreed to send the damn thing. they also called references, giving out my social security number, and details of the transactions.

If you have a debt, and feel that you want to pay it...you have the right to pay the original creditor.

I filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office in Florida and also with the Fair Debt Association...I have an email from Ms.Lopez telling me I am a liar & she is going to start Legal Proceedings for the fraud I commited by having a check returned due to an acct that was closed. Not to mention I had requested info from her when she first called me & never received but when I told her I never got, she sent an email about legal proceedings. I am not paying this compay a dime and am far from scared of their scare tactics they are using...which are ILLEGAL!

I think they gave up one me, they called me over and over and I just stopped answering the phone and never called them back.
I mailed off a letter to the attorney generals office yesterday with a complaint against them. I went through and pulled all my old bank statements and highlighted each payment they received from me..I paid the company Cashadvancenow (the company capital is collecting for) a little over $1400 dollars on a $200 loan. I wrote down every single time they called my work phone and gave detail of what was said in each message and phone call. Which one call the guy called me a prostitute and was making marks about my private parts...I'm sure my AG's office is going to love this one.

"Eve" keeps leaving a msg, but never says where she is from. So I never call back because I don't know any Eve. Finally I did *69 to get the number and googled it and found lots of complaints about calls from that #. To my knowlege I owe no money to anyone, I never receive late notices in the mail and was never told something would be sent to collections. I'm going to continue to ignore them until I get something in writing.

These people are crazy!! They called my moms house today saying that they were the sheriffs office and had been trying to serve warrant on me for a check advance that has been turned over to pay day debt consolidation agency and have been being paid on.. I called the number back they left and only kept getting busy signal.. the lady that called her name is Renee. I finally broke down and called our local sheriffs dept, and gave them the case # she gave and the sheriffs office adv me that was not one of their case numbers and not to give them any information. I am on phone with atty office now. These people can eat shit!!!!
