My daughter got a 400.00 loan from Everest Cash Advance. They told her on the phone that she would have to pay 400.00 plus 120.00 interest through her checking account. She has paid the loan off but they keep pulling money from her checking account. She called them today and they said she still owes them the 400.00 that was loaned. The 120.00 a month was finance charges to roll the load over to the next month. They tricked her into thinks she was paying the loan off. I've searched the internet high and low trying to find out if this scam outfit has a license to operate in Indiana. I've not had any luck and also I'm stupid at this legal stuff. Can someone help us getting this resolved? :sun: I've checked an it appears the company is in the West Indies  I also just ran a spreadsheet from her bank account and I don't see where they ever even put in the 400.00 :(

I used everest cash... They are a scam!! You should check with indiana's secretary of state..to make sure any lender is licensed and find out the online payday laws. I had to fight with my bank and pay them to cancel all further transactions through everest and scs processing... My 300.00 loan ended up costing me over 1400.00 so act fast!!!!:(

I only "inquired" about a loan from Everest.. I never follow through with it and decided against it completely. Although I had filled out the majority of their application on line, I didn't think twice about it because I hadn't signed anything nor did I talk to a representative as they told me I had to before the loan was processed. I can prove this by with the email and phone call I received from Everest while I was at work. When I got an email from them telling me they would be deducting 120.00 from my account for the finance fee, I immediately called them and spent the next 70 minutes on the phone with 3 or 4 different people disputing this loan. I told them that, yes, I realize they deposited 400.00 in my account, but that I didn't authorize it. The emailed me a contract they said I e signed...I hadn't. I told them, yes, I had the 400, but that they wouldn't be taking it from my account. I would get it to them in a different manner. That they were not authorized to deduct any monies. I filled a dispute against them with the feds, as I found out they were not a legitimate company. I also called my bank and put a stop payment on the amount of 120.00, which they had set up to take on Jan. 18th. I woke up this morning, checked my account and see they stole 400.00 from my account and put it through as an automatic withdrawal on Jan. 17th. Knowing that if I put a stop payment..anything for an amount different 120.00 and taking it on the 17th, would possible avoid any stop payment. I am filing a dispute against my bank, a police report, pressing charges if I can and calling the Federal Bureau of Transactions to let them know they went further in their illegal acts. I am livid, broke and on a mission to do what I can to stop them.

I just checked my back account and these !@#$ tried to debit $650 from my account. I sent a letter to the BBB letting them know of this and informing Everest cash that because of this I won't be repaying another dime.

What state are you in, name of lender? It sounds as if you have paid more than borrowed. Answer the questions, and we can help you further.
