What is the next step after you have been summon

I was summon from equable ascent financial for a debt back in 2008 which I dont recall opening an account then. Its from GE Captial and if I recall, all of my GE Captial accounts, I have had, have been paid off. I need to help to what's the next step I will need to take to get this resolved as quickly as possible.
